Over 12,000 Rhode Island Reds are part of a special flock of organically raised and grown hens. The hens are certified Washington State Organic. From the time they were chicks they have been tenderly cared for to bring you the kind of eggs we stand for: quality, freshness and value.
The hens live a life free of cages. They have outside access and can come and go as they please. There are many nests inside the house where the hens lay the eggs. The chicken house is lighted with natural sunlight and the hens have perches around the house to sit on and relax.
Combined, the hens eat nearly two tons of organic feed a day. Their feed has the finest organic mixture of grains: corn, wheat, peas, barley and soybeans: from a certified organic mill in Endicott, Washington.
In addition to the hens, the premises are under strict regulations for pest control.
