Supporting the Environment

We are proud to announce that Wilcox Farms has been awarded “Salmon-Safe” certification, an emerging Northwest eco-label to recognize farming practices that protect the health of our rivers and streams.  The certification was awarded to our farm in Roy , Washington located along the Nisqually River , which provides important habitat for a variety of salmon and other fish and wildlife species.

Those who live in the Pacific Northwest know that native salmon are integral part of our region’s ecology, economy, and culture and serve as an icon of our pristine environment and quality of life.  However, how we treat our land and stream effects their survival.  That is why Wilcox Farms is committed to making sure our practices protect water quality and habitat not only for salmon and wildlife, but also for the people that live within our community.  This is part of our commitment to environmental sustainability.

In the coming year, look for the Salmon-Safe label on selected Wilcox Farm products.
